#3 Tip: CPM Advertising and Direct Banner Advertising You can make some extra cash by adding some specific image ads on your site. For example, you can do CPM (Cost per Mille, or 1,000 impression) advertising using networks such as Google. These ads are similar to PPC ads, except you get paid according to the number of impressions (page views) that ads on your site generate. Some times a blog is the best format for this as you can generate a lot of visitors to an interesting site that is updated regularly. If a blog or an active website has 100,000 page views monthly, with an image ad or banner with a $1 CPM, you will earn $100.

The whole idea for the beginner web marketer to make money online is to have multiple streams of money flowing in to your bank account!

CPM rates vary with the network you choose but as you can see I am partial to Google but there are others, in addition to the position of the ad and the format. The closer you put the ad to the top of the page the higher the CPM. And if you want to know how to make even more money online, the bigger the format, the higher the CPM.

Another way that I like, is to sell your own advertising once your website starts generating enough traffic to get advertisers interested. That is the biggest hurdle to get over. You have to show the advertiser the stats of your website traffic to bet the big bucks. But, direct banner advertising can be the most lucrative method for making money online. It basically cuts out the middleman and you get all the profit!

When considering the size of the banner ad, I would recommend the 728X90 leaderboard or the 120X600 skyscraper. Just adding these two tips to make money online can increase your income easily and effortlessly each and every month.
